TL;DR: Yes.
Just kidding.
It may feel too slow for some people, as you spend lots of time getting between places and watching intermission cinematics. After playing quite some Assassin's Creed it feels like things could be more fluent and downtimes and walking between could be shorter, even with the 'extraction' feature, in the latest AC you can just use a waypoint, you are there in 3 seconds. In JC2, the whole thing, even when skipping cinematics, may take over 15.
All those minor wait times add up inflating your game time, so after playing 10 hours it feels like you played less than 5.
Yeah! The main thing to remember is never walk unless you have to. Ride a motorcycle, NO CARS because they are way too squirrely, fly fighter jets and helichoppers. BUT! The best thing is the "Grappler". Target a far away tree and zoom away from the enemy.
Great sandbox of action and death!
