Controller is not working (only for this game)

Windows shows me that the controller and all its buttons works fine, but when I start this game, the controller seems not detected. If I return to Windows, it works perfect, but not in the game.
Any ideas? may be after several upgrades, something changed.

Is your controller wireless?

If you can try plugging in to usb. It solved my issues.

I play with Xbox 360 wired Controller and it work`s fine.

It works perfectly well for windows, and for the menu of steam big picture, so it is detected, but when entering to the game, the game does not work with the gamepad

Gonna go out on a limb and say you don't have a microsoft xbox 360 controller. That's the ONLY controller that works with this, without jumping through hoops. You'll need extra software to make any other gamepad work with this game. (though a xbox one might also work, should also use the Xinput nonsense microsoft's pushing.)

i have defentaly a Xbox 360 controller from 2012(!) and it use to work with just cause 2
but now, few years later and a windows 10 - it dosent work anymore.

all other games works fine.
it's somthing with the seam version.
sometimes the steam just ruin the game files.
