Is the revolver any good?

I tried out the revolver and found that it took two shots to kill the most basic grunt enemy with an incredibly slow fire rate. I guess it has accuracy, but the assault rifle already has good accuracy, is it better at level 6?

I usually like the SMG, even the pistols upgraded are cheap and fast.

The revolver should kill most enemies in 1 shot if you hit level 6 but if you can get Rico's signature gun that may be much better.

If not dual wield it and it will but missing any is pretty significant.

Double grenade launchers and an assault rifle or sniper rifle are what I like.

I use the revolver mainly to destroy structures when I'm out of 'nades...

Pistol holds more and decently effective for guards. SMG best all around. I try to save upgraded assault rifle for choppers when I cannot find a mini-gun. It really should be called a maxi-gun. lol

pistol, grenade, c4, smg, m4, and lmg are best weapons to spend any points on, anything else is a waste.
same for vehicles, there is the black news helicopter that is slow at the start but good later on and thats really the only thing you ever put points into, and the tank too. jets go way too fast in this game to be reliably controlled, cars suck for most part

Rocket Launcher is great for missions and for difficult locations, cant say upgrading that it is a waste, but of course, dual pistols and LMG is the best all around option. LMG is much stronger than m4 versus helicopters even when not upgraded, so upgrading m4 is pretty much waste, it's better to save weapon parts and use level 6 pistols with level 0 M4 until LMG will be unlocked in a black market and also becomes very common from the corpses. I've cleared the game without single death on Hardcore using dual pistols and LMG (m4 in early game).

It's funny how people still don't understand Just cause isn't an ordinary shooter with some "meta" weapons...Every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gun is viable in the right hands.Also why necro a dead topic?

I personally like the revolver. At full upgrade it one-shots most basic grunts and two-shots everyone else. And if it doesn't, that is where the MP comes in. With this combination, you can shoot people with the revolver, give them a few MP rounds, and if they still stand shoot revolver again, and they are dead. Also, it is very useful to shoot through glass, like when you are clinging to a Chippewa front. You can shoot the pilot through the glass, an MP cannot penetrate it.

As a large weapon I have to agree, the MG is the best.

revolver is good in the damage but the rate of fire is slow and the ammo in the revolver is very low compared to the handgun and you're better off with the SMGs
