How do I reel in the grappling hook?

I've tried using the guides but most of them are just jokes or not about the controls. How am I supposed to reel the hook in once I'v shot it out?

You can not reel in like Jc3. You can attach two objects together though.

If you mean reeling in for boosting while parachuting, It should be hold either F or E. I forget which. I'll check later.
