I doubt that any of the kids that watched The Incredibles 2 in the cinema won't have seen part 1 at some point previously.
- "Dad I want to fight the raccoon! I want to use a portal! I want to be Jack-Jack!
- "No son, you have to play the entire first movie first".
- "oooh"
Got it? This is why.
I am not saying this was a particularly good choice from the developer/producer. They could have given the player the choice to start from the first movie if they wanted to, as they did for Jurassic World (if I remember correctly) but they didn't so... this is all.
It would be interesitng if anyone had a link to an interview or similar where the developer gave their reason.
Well, then just give a selection screen to chose which film you want to play first. Easy.
Well then they should provide options instead of forcing it on people. This is something that excites me about Skywalker Saga. You are given the CHOICE to play them in order from the start or to jump into any film you want.
It may make sense for those who just saw the 2nd but not the first, but it also comes at the cost of those wanting to play the 1st. That's why I feel like the standard for LEGO games going forward is to just let you pick and choose which one you want to play instead of being forced to play one to unlock the rest.
Satire aside, Incredibles TWO should have been SECOND.
