Uncencored not working

I installed the DLC, and I still have black bars. I validated all the files and even uninstalled / reinstalled. I still have black bars

I even selected Max Sexy in game, and the game says I have the DLC installed, and I still have black bars

Solved:

I had to delete EVERYTHING in: C:\Users\David\AppData\LocalLow\TheMenWhoWearManyHats\Max Gentlemen Sexy Business

It must have had a corrupt config setting or file

.. and nope! the black bars were gone, but as soon as I started to design my character, they came back

I have a similar issue - but I think it's because I have a shared library with my other half. In this case - She is the owner and for her account (same PC) this works, while for me it does not (I can copy the whole here folders to me - and it would not work - nor does in my account it tells anything about the DLC being installed.. :/)

For some reason the bars seem to stick in the designer screen, but in my experience you should be good with all the nude skins and suchlike. Not sure what the deal is with your own character but I've had that too. Not so fond of looking at myself naked anyhoo so it's been no big deal for me. :)

Nope. I have the black bars in game also :(

I'm not certain but it seems if you pick one of the pre made heads for your character you get the black bars on your own character, if you make your own head it seems fine.

I chose Sexy, made my character from scratch and I've gotten nothing but black bars. I was wondering if the Smut Magazine unlocked after a certain achievement. And when are we gonna get to the SEX?!

I just bought this game today and so far it's very disappointing. I want sex and nudity!

UPDATE: Okay, so if anyone has this same problem, you HAVE TO go to the Uncensored DLC page and DOWNLOAD it. You don't have to pay for it again, but you do have to download it separately. It'll load the game automatically and then you'll see "Uncensored DLC Installed" but you MUST delete all the data (which you can do under options) and start a new game. Then it'll work!

If you are using a shared account the uncensored DLC ONLY WORKS on the account that purchased the game...It does not work on the person who you are sharing your library with. The reason I know this I just had to buy this game twice: one for me and one for my husband just so he didn't have to deal with the censoring! It would work just fine if he was logged in to my account directly but as soon as he'd try to play it from his account no DLC would show up no matter how many times he downloaded the DLC from the page. Completely stupid.

I install the game, check Properties -> DLC and it clearly says that the DLC is installed. But when I start the game, it says v1.09, No DLC installed.

Which means someone somewhere ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.

Is there a download link for an actual patch?

If you mean that the game must be started via Steam for the DLC to be installed, then I sincerely hope you're wrong about that.

I've noticed that attempting to download the DLC again actually starts the game instead. That's a big problem, because the game immediately crashes when I try to start it from the Steam client or Steam browser page.

Unless they fix it somehow (make the game stop crashing on startup, make the DLC actually install the DLC content like it's supposed to, or provide a link to an actual patch), I can never install the DLC.

Hmm... I'd verify integrity or reinstall cuz it worked like a charm for me... once I figured it out.

This has to be done from the Steam client or the Steam browser page. If I attempt to start the DLC download, Steam will start the game and immediately crash it before anything gets installed.

I need a way to install the DLC that doesn't involve starting the game from Steam.

It's particularly irritating that, when I install the game, Steam insists that the DLC has been installed along with it when clearly it's not.
