Hold/Stop command

Hia forum. I'm totally new to this game and still learning, but: i'm really missing a 'Hold your ground' or 'stand still' command, so my ranged units stay in the back and doesnt move, and my melee can move ahead. Think Pillars of Eternity 'Hold' command.

Or atleast a group formation setting. Right now my ranged are all in the front, and my melee in the back and no real way to control them other than selecting them individually and moving them back in every single fight. Maybe im missing something here.

Well when i look at pro-players like this one here, i see them mostly micro-managing their units and putting different unit-types into different collections. So they can give each type unit their own position.

Thanks for your reply. By the way, do you know if my heroes gets xp when my army makes a kill far away from them? Or if you get xp by killing enemies at all?

Your heroes only get XP when they are close to killed units. It does not matter if the heroes themself kill units or the RTS-units do it, but need to be in range.

Actually there is a way - you can change stance of your group by pressing "W" or mannually clicking the sword icon next to movement icon (shortcut "E"). When you click that it should change its picture to shield. And you can reverse this by clicking again "W" (or shield in that case)

Thanks both of you. I'm looking for a tank companion for my party - im just using a merc for now, but i read "Katras" is pretty awesome. Where do i find him?

He is in the throne-room. He will join your party later in the campaign automaticly.
