Me and a friend were thinking of buying this game, but we have a question

So we were wondering if we could create custom characters and have them fight each other, like ai vs ai. Also, what other kind of co-op modes are there?

You can absolutely spectate CAW matches, at least in offline modes. If you're talking about setting up online lobbies where you're both watching AI vs AI, then I have no idea if that even works.

There aren't really any dedicated co-op modes, though. You can play together vs AI outside of the story mode with offline local multiplayer or team up together in online PvP matches, but know that the PC playerbase is rather thin which can make it difficult to find opposing teams online here.
