its hilarious when people name 4 games that all require lower specs and say how they can run them on whatever PC at ultra settings and they look better they will look great since you cant run this at its top graphics settings you will never see just how good this looks, that means nothing at all the fact is this game look phenomenal at 4k with all the highest graphics settings 60fps steady as a rock. Its damn good looking max settings at 1080p.
The fact is this graphics engine is only in its second year of usage and already its a lot faster and smoother than last year, and its simple if you come here with a big mouth about how badly optimized the game is and when you give your specs you dont meet the minimum you are at fault not the devs, they told you what level of machine is needed if you dont believe them and want to run it on lower specs its all down to you.
67 hours and no major problems and that is at 4K res with max graphics settings, what have you found that is so broken?.
Sounds more like your rig is a piece of ♥♥♥♥ and you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ something up. How the hell are you having any slowdown on a GTX 1080? Same card and on an i7 6700k without any slowdown. They need to fix the random crash but this year is way better than previous game. Last year had ♥♥♥♥ load times but never had any slowdown. Fix your setup dude.
Same for the Witcher 3, strange that works too...how can that be ? must be my pc cant be another reason.
You know what ? its runns ♥♥♥♥ becasue 2k is a *************************** imagination here :)
My Setup is fixed duuuude and i dont take commands from scrubs but thatnks for youre nice advice.
Every game that is own and is still in my library works just fine with 4k but wwe2k19 not must really my pc XD
And another thing before i forget about this forum and game, i tested the game on a new installed system with a AMD thats the same like my pc (english not my main language so if you dont undertsand *shrugs*) its even runs there like really bad for example in the wrestlemania 33 area at some point outside the ring it slows down XD
Make of it what you want mr itchy (it must be the pc) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ you sound like one of theese hotlines.
below are the minimum specs for each game
FFXV
Minimum:
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-2500(3.3GHz and above)/ AMD FX™-6100 (3.3GHz and above)
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 760 / NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 / AMD Radeon™ R9 280
Witcher 3
Minimum:
Processor: Intel CPU Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz / AMD CPU Phenom II X4 940
Graphics: Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660 / AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870
WWE2K19
Minimum:
Processor: Intel Core i5-3550 / AMD FX 8150
Graphics: GeForce GTX 670 / Radeon HD 7850
did you notice the CPU requirement is a generation later and the GPU requirement is higher the GTX 670 is more powerfull than a GTX760 or a GTX660
Every game that is own and is still in my library works just fine with 4k but wwe2k19 not must really my pc XD
When people say things like that I really think hard about how much they know about PC's
because your argument is based around other games that dont use the same way of doing things, for example Witcher 3 doesnt generate real shadows they are fixed based on a few variables, WWE2k19 does full light rendering with all of the lights in the full lighting rig each and every light creates its own unique lightsource which is then calculated and reworked according to each and every other lightsource, this and other reasons are all part of the higher System specs requirements, now before you say stuff like nothing can run this properly or rubbish like that I am running the game at max settings 4K and getting 60fps and have not seen the slow motion some people are talking about.
Specs:
Intel 7700K
GTX 1080 Ti
16GB DDR4 3200
ok is it in custom arenas?
is it when certain superstars are in the match?
I found a huge CPU spike when I used a custom arena with lots of lighting that was arena wide so it did change audience lighting. I didnt get any slow motion but did notice the huge CPU usage rise!.
Intel 6700K
GTX 1080 TI
32gig ddr4 3200
I read a lot of comments and now it is time to answer.
You`re telling people that their rigs are under the minimum specs. Thats ok, you can do so. But! In your last comment you mentioned CPU spikes.... The specs of your system are really the same than my rig. Do I have to remind you, what the name of this thread is? "Poorly optimised?" was the headline. And you mentioned that there are CPU spikes.
Tell you what, the problem with the requirenments of the game (oh, before you aks, yes I own it!), are way to high for that kind of grafics. The game is indeed poorly optimised. Or to say it another way: It is a poor Console port. The method to link the gameplay speed with the fps is from the ancient of gaming. This makes only sense on consoles.
Another point is: I own a nearly similar rig than yours and i got a laptop. The laptop is, maybe, not really in the reqs, but it is ok. What you have to understand is, that there are two different kind of problems. One problem ist stuttering, what is classical caused by to low fps. But this is not the problem with 2K19. Here the problem is, that the gamespeed is lowered by the software. The game itself.
So please, in the name of god, stop telling ppl that their rigs are a potatoe! The software, the game, is causing the trouble. You know, I am old enough to know the times when it was normal that the games are stuttering. That is what I can live with. But the game lowers the gamespeed and there are NO signs of stuttering? Sorry bro, that kind of software is crap. Don`t get me wrong. I really like the game. But it is sooo poorly ported from the consoles without any PC optimization (look at the GUI of the main menu).... The devs got a ton of work to do before this game will really satisfy me.
I don`t want to offend you, but after reading the 36th comment like "your PC is bad" I had to write this. Because you`re wrong.
for grammar fanatics out there: I´m from Germany, hope my english is ok ;)
really well when I get one of these slow motion games I will be a little more interested I am running the game at 4k everything maxed out. 60fps in game 30fps in cinematics and nothing has created any problems.
Now tell me Kabal were you amongst the people that wanted the WWE2K games to be able to have more people in the ring at once?. because that was when the Engine started its major upgrade, people wanted more in ring wrestlers at the same time and got it, that made the requirements go up. now lets make it clear we get the game and are a tiny part of the games overall players so we will never get a game written for the PC 100% they wont rewrite every damn line of code to make it faster on a PC, but since even a low end pc is a match for a console in pure hardware capabilities they never will need to the PC hardware is advancing faster than any console hardware development. The WWE2k games will only ever be ported from consoles and as such will always have a higher hardware requirement because that is the reality of life. we are a tiny part of the market and that is the end of it if you want the better optimization go buy a Console version but it wont always be a step up the PS4 version cannot and wont ever run at 4K anywhere near as fast as it will on a decent PC.
Now last year we got the new graphics engine which has a very nice lighting system built into it it creates light in the same way a real lighting rig does each and every light in the lighting rig above the arena is a light source every surface then reacts to the lights. now after 1 year everyone is noticing this game runs smoother than last year. the requiremenst stayed the same this year as last years game.
now my underlying point is very simple this is a new high requirements game, that fact has never been hidden look at the specs and our minimum is higher than other games, the game has specified requirements if your PC doesnt meet them its your problem, if you feel the requirements are too high and you cant or wont buy a PC that exceeds the requirements, the simple answer is dont buy the game or put up with the performance you get.
Ok, here is the point. First of all, I got a PC which can run the game maxed aout in 4K Ultra Wide, AND I got a PC (Laptop) that is next to the low end of the rquirements. So I can compare the differences between high end and mid-low end very good.
But my point is that the requirements are so high because the game is in fact poorly optimised. Come on, we are in 2018! Do you really want to tell me that the reqs of the game are so high because of the "high quality" graphics?? No no no. The devs choosed the easy way. There is no PC optimization. There is no reason to lock the gameplay speed with the fps on PC. Because on PC you can change your settings. Low fps? Don`t worry, just disable some options, lower the resolution and here we go. But no, not in this game. There is no difference when I switch in the options from Medium to Low settings. Nothing.
Why can`t you see that the game is not optimized?
I can tell you why its not. Because of the money. Performance optimization costs money. And when you, as a publisher, wants to safe the money, then you put a sticker on the game with waaaay higher requirements then necessary.
Come on. Compare the graphics of the game with other state of the art games and their requirements. I mean, look at the crowd around the ring. Look at the textures, the only textures which are really good are the textures from the wrestlers.
No no. The game was developed for consoles and their limitations. They ported the game to the PC without removing the limitations. Linking gameplay speed to fps is only necessary for consoles, not for PC. And I would bet that the slomo problem will disappear when they remove this connection. And yes, maybe, then stuttering will appear. But then I can optimise my system and the setting of the game.
The framerate limits are built into the game engine you cant change them without completely replacing the engine and that would require the game to be written for the new engine, they have no reason for a new game engine since the limits are designed to make the game work as intended on the consoles, so it wont happen.
I have said it before so I will say it again this is a PS4 game we are a tiny part of the martket maybe 5% if that , this game is perfectly optimized for the machine it was developed for, look at the hardware in a PS4 then look at the fact this game gets 60fps at 1080p on a PS4 they wont rewrite it for a PC learn to live with reality. you can sit and point at 1000 games that were written for the PC and say how great they are but that does not matter at all in this case. be glad that when they do write the small parts of code to interface with the Windows operating system we dont have hard limits on our screen resolutions they could simply use the existing hard limit of 1080p from the PS4. but since they have to write the connecting pieces of software to connect the Program with the Windows drivers they gave us the ability to use the drivers fully.
at this point in time we are such a small part of the market we are lucky to get a port at all, that is why we didnt get a port 14 years ago after the one and only attempt. THQ wouldnt do it after 1 attepmpt it wasnt worth the time or effort for the small amount of profit.
do you remember the game WWE Raw 2 it was ported to the PC in 2003 that was the attempt on porting to PC from THQ it barely ran at all .it failed to make money and it took11 years and a new company to get another attempt. they obviously make enough because having online sales from steam makes it financially viable for smaller games to be released.
Also noticed that some of the edits to the ini file that can improve performance now results in not being able to play the game in full screen. So we have even less viable options to increase performance than we already did.
I'm usually pretty good at working out crashes. Give me a few and I will give you a few suggestions to resolve that.
Ironically even with all the complaints about it, 2k18 ran better for me than any other 2k wrestling game. (Although I do know that Yukes is actually the developer, same as it was during THQ days... it's just easier to describe the eras by publisher)
