Graphics Device Removed
I had the same problem in 2K17, 2K18 was fine, thank god. But I can't make a CAW without this error. :/

"GRAPHICS_DEVICE_REMOVED: The GPU will not respond to more commands, most likely because of an invalid command passed by the calling application."

Seems like Nvidia isn't going to fix their mess, so we are stuck with either crashing or going back to 417.71

Are we sure this isn't caused by failing RTX cards? My last RTX 2070 was faulty and caused exactly this error. Now my replacement card started showing little black square artifacts in WWE 2k19 cutscenes and I'm a little afraid that this card is just failing, as well.

I don't think so, cause I have those same black squares/dots during cutscenes as well. And we're not the only ones- see this post on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/WWEGames/comments/a3d1je/does_anyone_know_why_im_getting_black_pixels/

The OP even links to a youtube video about RTX performance in WWE 2k19, and you can see the black glitches in the cutscenes there too.

Incidentally, the Graphics Device Removed Error we're all talking about seems to be happening in Apex Legends as well. So something is definitely wrong with the drivers

Rolled back to 417.71. No crashes so far and far less of those black square artifacts, but they still appear sometimes here and there. I don't know.

Hey, that's my post.

What's your post? The Reddit post or the Youtube video? I made it clear neither of those are mine. I was just trying to point out that this is widespread.

Either way, it's important we know that this is not an isolated issue, and it's affecting many of us with RTX cards.

Both the MyCareer video, and the post. I was like, hey someone else seen my problem on reddit.

I want to point out that the black pixels are more of a problem on lower resolutions as I had a 1366x768 32" TV as the monitor at the time. The pixels are smaller now, on my new 27" 1440p monitor.

I'm sorry about that, and I appreciate your efforts in pointing out the problem. The whole thing is very frustrating, especially since Nvidia 'officially' acknowledge the issues with Apex Legends but not for this game...

But thank you for doing the work and pointing out the problems. I apologize for any offense, and hopefully, it will get fixed for us soon.

Let's hope that whatever causes the issue with Apex is also responsible for the issue with WWE 2k19. Then at least it will get fixed. Might be a blessing in disguise.

You're fine, man. I want this bug fixed too, both the black pixels and the GPU removed error

Crashing error gpu removed?!
I play this and get a crashing error saying the gpu was removed and I cant seem to fix the problem I have verified the files and reinstalled the game nothing works. I have 30 hours in the game and now this error is happing. All other games work perfect no crash only this game gives the gpu removed error. Anyone know why?

Merged threads so you can see the previous discussion on the issue.

Roll back your nvidia drivers to 417.71. Only known solution at the moment, unfortunately (for the crashes, at least - I can't get rid of the black squares completely).
