Why are the graphics looking so outdated?
You would think in 2018 you could get a wrestling game that has fluid nice looking character models, instead after watching some videos, the characters look stiff and jagged, the movements do no seem fluid at all, I mean wtf? another company needs the license to make a good WWE game

Why does it have to be a "wrestling" game developer, there are plenty of talented devs that could make an awesome wrestling game

ok you want generic fighting games thats easy but wrestling is set piece moves, they look really badass but the acctual risks are reduced by the correct positioning and training.

Ragdoll physics wont work, almost any move will put a person out of the ring if done in the wrong place. IE too close to the ropes.

the fact is the engine and way they create wrestlers isn't perfect, but in all ways I have seen lots of attempts to create a wrestling game and they come out as cartoonish, or second rate copies of this games idea.

oh and push the game up to 4K and it looks really good.

Does it use the same engine as 2k18? if so, have they done improvements or speed optimizations? Are the min specs higher than 2k18? I'm anxious to know if my lappy will be able to play it with a 970m.

Games have peaked for a while now. Can't do much more without cutting out a huge population of players that only upgrade every 5-10 years. Thankfully graphics are of very low importance in a game.

well they said its faster with 6 or 8 wrestlers so some optimization has been done.

It is the same engine as last year with numerous tweaks to improve performance and add new bells and whistles. But honestly it doesn't look that bad and given one of the most popular wrestling games around is fire pro, graphics aren't everything.

All I really want is 60 fps entrances, but with freesync it looks a lot better at 30 then without freesync.

I like the Graphic in this Game it´s not the best for sure but it looks good.
It looks just outdated because they using the same engine not a new one.

All I want to look good are the superstars and a bit of the arena (ring, titantron sets and announce tables), I can promise you, after playing from svr 2008 to 2011 on ps2, you just care about the game running smooth and the gameplay in the end.
And if they could just optimise it a bit better and stop with trying too hard with light effects it would run just as good as 2k15 (and probably look the same, but still)

It's obvious that they used a different style of texturing. If you look at youtube comparissons they went for a high-def "cartoon" style where as before they were trying to go for photo realism. I solely believe this is what puts off your illusion of poor graphics.
