Any news on when the game might return to the store?

Well seeing it has been off the store since February and now its June, there is no reason they have to remove it to work on a remastered or whatever. I see it as gone

That's too bad. They however do still sell it on Square Enix store page, do you know by any chance how does that work, will you get a Steam key or what?

nope - no News and they cant or dont want give us Infos.

You should. Midway is actually just a bit more realistic but has a lot less content. I'll try to buy Pacific from Square Enix site, I'll let you know how it went.

Bought the game there and it works, you'll just have to download GFWL separately and create an offline profile in order to play.

I just bought it off square enix and used the key on steam! seems to be working

I've been struggling so hard to figure out all the steps I need in order to actually get this game running. Like I wanna be able to run the game and especially download and play the mods that improved the game a lot. I've tried following everything that was advised in the steam guides and doing some searching on google, but I still just feel lost

The key is to download a working Games for Windows Live copy, although many download links seem to be broken. I downloaded it successfully from the PC Gaming Wiki site. Here's the link.

Now, if you got through that part all you still need to do is to log in with an OFFLINE account (there's already a guide on how to do that on this hub). But note this allows you to play singleplayer only (including solo skirmish).
