Strongest Kingdom Rush Origins Heroes

I'm curious which heroes other people consider to be top tier or the most fun to play. Reading around on the net a bit I was surprised to see a lot of people dogging what I consider to be some of the stronger hero options.

For instance I've seen people complaining Wilbur is under powered which just doesn't make sense to me when his primary weapon is a ranged attack that deals 100 true damage per second. That puts him at the very top of the hero list for primary attack damage output and his lead there is considerable. His mobility is solid since he flies and moves quite fast with the engines upgrade and he has two different ultra long range area damage attacks that do solid damage and reload fast. His hero spell's damage output is middle of the road but the auto targeting is excellent.

As far as early game "free" heroes go I think Catha gets a bum rap. She is a a very solid support hero with amazing cc options.

As for my personal picks for top tier heroes I would put Phoenix, Durax, Wilbur at the very top with Vez'nan and Faustus coming in just behind them. Bravebark gets an honorable mention as best portable barracks.

I haven't played all heroes to level 10, but I've heard the opposite about Wilbur, I've heard that he's so overpowered that many people won't use him as it makes even Impossible difficulty too easy. I've played the first 9 Heroes & i find Reg'son the strongest mostly because he can 1 hit anything & deal significant damage to bosses with his ability.

It all matters on playstyle. Each character serves their job alright (except prince denas lol) If you want good insta kills go for vez'nan, if you want raw high dps go for regson, if you want stuns and good grouping capabilities catha is your girl. Its all around what you want for a level.

Oh also faustus is a bad hero since his skills are mainly let downs. And wilbur is ahead of phoenix in overall damaging options. he's just very boring, but can do EVERYTHING because he just kills everything so fast, that you dont need a tank if everything is dead. Also his attack speed is 0.66 seconds and with his i think like what 74-85 dps at level 10 thats over 100 true damage very fast.

wilbur is by far the strongest.
faustus and phoenix lack in some department compared to him(their specials are really lackluster for example compared to his).

in general: arivan and bravebark are the ones i use most of the time until you unlock the others. veznan and durax are ok and the others are pretty meh compared to them.
eridan is ok aswell and has to be used for the first stages obviously :)

Just played through KR Origins again after a few years and I can confirm that Wilbur is the strongest. Literally LV1 barracks + Wilbur over it can hold a route all 15 rounds... he is OP however a little boring.

I think the rest of them though are 'fair' at least and also fun.

What's wrong with Denas? Summons soldiers, has a few ways to attack, and one to stun.
