I forgot to mention system specs.. i7 4970k / GTX 1080 / ASUS PB287Q 28"
Playing at 4k with no fullscreen zooms in way too much and even 2k cuts off a good chunk of the game at the edge. It's weird that playing at 1080p with no fullscreen looks better than any fullscreen option.
Played the first level and will be looking forward to more of the game, but I want it to be as crisp as Frontiers. Seeing this thread at nearly a month old worries me though with no solution at hand. Seems as though only a few are having this problem, including myself.
In case one of the devs see and need this, my system specs are: i7 4770k / GTX 1060 6GB / Samsung UH750.

After taking the screenshots, I see that all of them are in 2934 x 1234 instead of 3840 x 2160.
Thanks for looking into this, cigumo.
Also, can you send me a sshot from Frontiers? I want to compare them so I can understand what you're seeing.
Thanks!
I'll do my best to solve this problem with the next update, scheduled for the end of January 2019.
As a test, could you try disabling display scaling for the game as explained in the link below (option A) and let me know what happens?

Thank you!
I went to the "Kingdom Rush Origins.exe" in my local steam folder, right click, Properties, Compatibility tab, Change High DPI Settings, check "Override High DPI Scaling Behavior. Scaling Performed by: Application", apply, re-launch. Seems normal now!
I'm really happy to have found the solution here and to see an incoming fix for other players in the future. Looking forward to 100% this game. Cheers.
Thanks!
