Nah, the dev doesn't care about the trash on steam, he cared to just profit from the situation by releasing his own Achievement spam trash.

Oh please. Stop writing it as if you care. You're doing exactly what all these other shady "developers" are doing. Flipping assets for a quick buck.

If you really had an issue with Steam Direct, you wouldn't create a terrible game that mimics the terrible games being churned out. Calling it a joke doesn't give you a free pass in my book. It's shocking you've even managed to garner 1 positive review, never mind multiple.

Here's an idea on how to stop Steam Direct being filled with trash, don't fill it with even more trash.

I will give you props on one thing though, I quite like some tracks on the soundtrack, but they're no doubt stolen and now that I've said this, you'll probably release the OST for £0.79 ($0.99) as a "joke" too.

This isn't a management sim or a game where you run a store. It's a collection of five mini-games made to mock Steam's lack of quality control.

It's mostly an achievement spam game and it's not fun.

This is not a game to be taken seriously.
It is what it is. You don't Idle achievements . You have to play to get them and I like that.
I am a big sucker for any achievement game and buy everything I can .
some of them are very forgettable and I could not tell you anything about them.
This one requires a bit of play and I actually had fun and played instead of turning on an idle game and watching twitch on another monitor

You know that friend who makes generic statements that have been worded pretty terribly, yet they think they're really deep? This is that person as a game.

The main message is "Steam Direct is bad because there's no quality control. Cheap, poorly made achievement grinders are rampant". Well, from the beginning, the developer's completely off with what they're saying. This didn't start with Steam Direct. It actually became popular during the beginning of the end for Greenlight.
But okay, fair enough, right? Let's give them that one. Next is the quality control. Again, quality dipped drastically when Steam stopped their heavy curation and Steam Direct, while ♥♥♥♥♥♥, isn't a pioneer in the loss of quality in the games being released.
The ideas, opinions and statements presented by the developer are either flat out wrong or extremely misleading.

So, even though the details are wrong, the core idea is still true. The quality of games has dropped and achievement grinders are ridiculously popular. So as a statement, what will the game be about? Literally that. It is exactly what it mocks. In fact, it is worse in many aspects.
It gives you 1000+ achievements, lazy descriptions for those achievements, horrible art for them to make them even more useless and basically gives them all to you all willy-nilly. It wants you to grind money, that has a low droprate (0.2$ per coin, with you needing to collect $65 worth, a.k.a. you need 325 of them, while getting at best 6 of them per game level)
It has terrible graphics. Seriously, these are the worst I've seen in a game like this.
It has bugs and glitches to no end. One of the games is almost unplayable because the car's suspension goes all over the place, causing you to either just make your chassis fly up while the wheels are on the ground, cause the wheels to roll into random places for no reason while still being magnetized to the chassis or just cause the vehicle to fly into the air, causing the game to start freezing and breaking. Movement glitches in other games also are almost everywhere. You'll get stuck frequently, you'll get hit for no reason. Texture glitches are also prevalent. Shooting a projectile will sometimes mean that its texture will just stay on the map forever as a texture, not doing anything.

When you want to genuinely send a message and make a statement, then you make a good game to back it up. Spec Ops: The Line had a quality campaign with its anti-war messages. Totally Accurate Battlegrounds had a genuinely innovative and free battle royale game to make fun of the genre in a genuinely humorous way. Goat Simulator had everything nailed down while also making fun of the then-rampant simulation games.
Store Simulator 2018 doesn't do anything for the statement that it's supposedly making. Saying you don't like eating feces is one thing, but perhaps don't accompany it with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ contest.

Store Simulator 2018 would've come and gone for me like so many other terrible games on this platform. But because it has the balls to pretend to be a paragon of Steam and some deep mastermind who "gets it", I genuinely despise this moneyleeching hack, who has no talent, so he has to compensate from other areas.

Remember me mentioning the kid who thinks they're deep? Well, usually they're full of ♥♥♥♥ and you just have to not just ignore them, but make sure to try and shut them up.

I hope that you give all of your earnings from this game to charity as a protest for this type of stuff that you are so against. Otherwise you just made the thing that you fight against and are profiting off of it.
If you don't donate it, then I genuinely hope that you lose it all twice over.

How is it possible, that even the worst games on earth, which were already bad in the 1980s, are full of bugs??? Even with freezing monitor and malware message. Lock the dev up!

Horrible grind fest spanned among 5 garbage mini games. Avoid at all cost.

So there are 5 uninteresting buggy games.

1) Some sort of Zombie survival "flash" Game. Zombies are quite buggy.
2) Some kind of "breakout" game. You are a moving platform and you will have to hit the ball against the bricks.
3) Some mixture of "Happy wheels" and "line rider". Wheels and game are extremely buggy.
4) Some kind of Asteroid space ship game. We seen them all...
5) Some kind of stickman that are being try-hards to be funny.

Store simulator is one of those games that is pretty much a buy bait on Steam. Low Price for in exchange for 1000 achievements. The game is nothing too exciting and like any other "Simulator" game on steam, very boring. I can't even call/name this a "Store simulator" as there are only 5 games available.

Ironically how he says "this is a store simulation regarding most indies games on steam that abuses the achievement system in order to get customers" and "The game is a simulation of the garbage that goes onto steam" and "This game is my take on steam direct as told by the final game"... He is lying and milking the customers by saying this nonsense.

This game in particular is abusing the achievement system in order to get customers. And this game belongs to the garbage games on steam. There is one thing that i hate. Liars.. Do not buy this trash game at any cost.

The 3 curators that has done a positive review on this game should get the hell off steam straight away. Bribed monkeys.

Haven't seen the ending yet but.... I'm having fun! Definitely recommending this game to others.
