it looked fun but when i played it was boring

For a blissful minute, I was digital Bob Ross.

Minecraft, Minecraft, Minecraft...... I am sure we all can agree that we are tired of the game and have seen enough, NOT!
I am an avid Minecraft and love playing so seeing one of the minigame mods come to life is truly a gift to any minecraft lover.

While that is all fine and dandy to some, I will say I was intrigued yet disappointed all at the same time.
Of course this happens with most game spin-off's now a days. I did find that the design, blocks and all additions to the game truly felt like a modded minecraft version, infact I got asked on stream if it was. So thumbs up to the devs on the design aspect.

However I was truly sad to see that the game was not well received even for the few dollars that the developers where asking for. I would love to see this game get more players, and advance some as it is a nice way to exit from the world of minecraft... LOL if only for a short time.

So does the game deliver, I would have so say yes! Build Wars, has fast smooth graphics, is not CPU hungry and simple to use. However remember that you are on the clock and when racing against the clock you will fumble a few times till you get the hang of the game.

Either way, Build Wars is truly a good buy and great PVP fun for you and your friends to enjoy!

Build Wars is not really a game, it's a 3D "building" game that's a visual ripoff of Minecraft, but with all the Minecraft gameplay removed. Instead you construct a 3D voxel structure and then that gets judged by other players who decide if it's good or not. Highest rated structure wins.

So if this game was judged on the same merits, it would be a loser. As a purported "multiplayer" "game", this doesn't have any players. SteamDB shows the game only had 23 players building stuff at launch and they only stayed for a couple of hours. Immediately after, player counts dropped to just 1-2 players logging on once or twice a week, and just for a few minutes, probably to see that this isn't actually a game or anything and then deleting it.

From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.

The game features lazy low-polygon voxel "Minecraft"-like "art", making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. A lot of amateur developers see Minecraft's success and assume it's because it looks bad, not because it had unique and appealing game mechanics, and they try to emulate the success without understanding it. It also happens to be easy, and doesn't need any proper talent in terms of game development/graphic artists etc. That's why reviewers are faced with so many of these terrible games with confrontingly bad graphics. Developers must learn that Minecraft succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them.

The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers.

These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.

The game is completely free. This is noble a gesture that shows dedication to both gamers, and the gaming industry. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. It's unfortunate this barely (if at all) qualifies as a game, and that the quality is so low, and of course, that it was overwhemlingly rejected by gamers, as SteamDB shows clearly.
