Well, since First Assault is dead I don't have a online FPS to jump back into every year for 2-3 weeks. Any recommendations?

That's true, but even CS:GO has cheaters. Cheaters are everywhere, there is no cheat-proof game. Well, technically, if you play offline, single player games like Star Wars Battlefront 1 (2004) with bots, there won't be any cheaters... but not much challenge either. xD

Nah, cheaters are quite rare in my experience. I think people are just salty. In my 1k hours on AVA, I only really recall a small handful of instances in which I was certain that someone was cheating.

I doubt it's full of hackers. But like all of Valve's games, they made it F2P and cosmetic focused.
