Animals not having babies
I have 2 7 banded armadillos, Dillo and Dilla. Dilla has been pregnant 6 times and never had a baby. The first time it was because of poop, but ever single day I've been out here and their food and water are never empty and they don't have poop because I am literally collecting it as it spawns. Her pregnancy lasts for days but she doesn't give birth.

Sleeping nearby seems to help her give birth instead of just not be pregnant anymore.

Tbh, I think you may likely have experienced a bug that only occurs sporadically (as opposed to all the time).

If I decide to try raising armadillos again, I'll see if I can test this; even if it's a bug, you may have found a workaround. If you keep having success this way, would appreciate hearing back from you. :cozyspaceengineersc:

It may be linked to either proximity, or sleeping. Because we're in multiplayer we often don't sleep at the same times....this has lead to some weirdness. Just an hour ago we were hit with 5 insomnia out of nowhere, got the achievement, we didn't have any before that moment and we'd literally just slept at the drug lab, we got the insomnia out of nowhere as we chopped bamboo (literally not even 2m real world time from waking, we all slept at the same time that time).

They're at the starter area and we're building in a tree near the first village, if that gives you an idea on proximity. Sometimes we also take trips to the drug lab to get bamboo.

That "multiple stacks of insomnia" bug hits me sooner or later in every run I play. >.< MP vs. SP can make a difference w/ bugs sometimes, so that's good info to have (I play SP only).

When I attempted to raise armadillos, I did so w/ one pair each of nine-banded & Giant. I had one successful birth w/ the Giants, but when I began releasing the adult males of both, my "junior" Giant cub despawned & my female bander was suddenly no longer pregnant. At that point, I decided to stop, as it wasn't something I had planned to do long term, anyway.

I'm playing SoA, so if I attempt to raise them again, it will be on the part 1 map. That probably shouldn't make a difference, but you never know. -.-

I think the problem is overpopulation. Never keep more than 4 pets in one enclosure.

Hi! Could you please send us a copy of the affected save files to: support@creepyjar.com, so we can investigate why your Dillo and Dilla are not reproducing?

To locate the save files and see which saves are which, here's a helpful troubleshooting guide in the "Save Files" tab: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2160052009

So, was your problem resolved? Playing now Spirits of Amazonia, got an animal pen, two tapirs, and seem to have this issue too. She has already been pregnant twice and no babies.
Yeah I didn't, I've had a lot of uni stuff so I didn't get to send the save either. It seems to be linked to distance if you sit there for the entire pregnancy it will work. I don't know if they're not eating or there's poo problems or what's going on but it's definitely an issue.
