Grainy Shadows, Detail halo & textures changing
Having some crappy issues with the graphics right now. Graphics card and game are up to date. PC is more than capable to run the game too.

Firstly the game was looking amazing 3 to 4 months ago and recently wanted to get back into playing it with the recent updates. I never had these issues before and the game looked amazing! Now It's really testing me to continue playing with these issues.

SHADOW QUALITY
The darker shadows seem to be somewhat fine except the edges, lighter shadows are very grainy.

DETAILED HALO (Effected from the Shadow Draw distance!)
There is a very visible halo line around the player. roughly 3 mtr radius around player and then 10 mtr radius around player when adjusting the shadow draw distance. They transition between ultra detailed graphics to smoothed out low limited detail.

TEXTURES CHANGING
When I was lining up a screenshot, right in front of me, I had two plants in plots and when I moved further back from one the dirt would go from detailed to a low detail.

Anyone else experiencing this and if there are any fixes please help.

Try reducing your FOV to 75. No higher.
In the graphics at start of game.

Nope no good, I still have 2 halos and the light shadows are grainy.

I have the same problem, the game looks so bad for me now all of a sudden. I also have a large shadow following me wherever I go, like there's a big umbrella above me or something :(

I'm having the same problem. I have already contacted support and hope it will be resolved soon.

UPDATE: When you extend the shadow distance all the way it gets rid of the inner circle. The outer circle seems to be to do with shadows as I only get a defined circle around darker areas and when I'm in the open sunny area the circle is less noticable.

Still getting a bit of grainy style shadows though.

Same problem and still not solved.

I made a new discussion before I noticed this. I agree with you the game looks like visual vomit now! The lighting system walking around is trash, animals appear and disappear, plants and stumps appear then disappear, then appear, tree models seem to change when I move and its not changing to an LOD.

Yeah ok there, considering I havent changed my FOV settings since before this update and ive NEVER noticed any of this stuff in my 70 hours ingame before, id say its a screw up with this most recent update getting the engine ready for coop.

How did The Devs not notice this during testing, its the first thing I noticed in less than 2 minutes coming back to the game. Anyway im saving and ill check back in 2 or 3 months as the glitching graphics is to irritating to get back into the game. Might just have to force downgrade green hell to the last version and set the .acf file to read only so steam cant update it again...

You're 100% spot on Dersh! i'm in the exact same boat and noticed it instantly and it completely has ruined the immersion. I launch the game every now and then to see if it's fixed but this 1 silly glitch is why I don't play it anymore.

i got a new monitor and the grainy shadows bug appeared, new one was 2560 x 1440 and when i put FOV over 100 i saw the shadows "correcting" themselves. dropping it under 70 FOV didn't do anything for me.
