Iron Ore Veins not respawning

I live at one of the Cannibal Camps, 36W, 32S, I'm sure everyone knows the one I'm talking about.

TONS of ore nodes in the cave nearby. Been on this save for 50 days now, and I've been at this specific camp for 12 of those 50 days straight, and off and on for the entire game. It's SOTA mode. So it's one of the best places to do the Ritual.

I went in to mine ore today, day 50, after never really needing iron at all up until now, wanting iron armor. Not a single one of the many ore nodes have ore in them.

I'm certain this is a bug. If one of the devs could be notified and patch it, that would be great.

Or they could revert the terrible patch and make cans go back to respawning, if you're not gonna give us metal to mine, why take away the only source of metal we had?

Any ai buildings nearby that have stocks of tin cans of food?
You CAN smelt them down giving you some ore and giving the ion ore in cave time respawn.

If you read my post, you'd see that tin cans and food in tin cans DO NOT respawn anymore, it was a somewhat recent change the devs made. So no, there are no cans whatsoever, anywhere on the SOTA map. So I'm stuck with with checking like 40 caves in hopes of finding a single ore vein that may never respawn at this point.
