Can't START a challenge (raft)...jut gives me "EXIT" option once game (finally) loads

challenge...build a raft: wont let me start this challenge up for some reason

I chose the crafting-a-raft-raft challenge. After the usual takes-forever-load time (3 minutes each time I load any of my games: survival,or story mode, and now I guess challenge mode...and yes, PC is updated and so is game to latest Stm version), I get a screen showing "best time" or something like that, and I cant START the raft challenge at all.
I had not done any challenges yet, just story or survival modes.
I can only choose EXIT which bounces me back to loading screen. Not sure,then,how to start a challenge game?

Dont touch or click the screen until the game has fully loaded.
Once loaded you should see this , find the BP raft first co ordinates in the description top left Raft 50 W 17 S and then collect the supplies for it. Use smart watch to head to the right direction. Hopefully you are familiar with the map already.

Thank you so much for your reply,Juanitta (you're really helpful on these GH forums!). For some reason,as you mentioned, I must not have allowed the challenge game to fully load the last couple of times.
