The lower slot is for the iron to melt.
Then make sure to set the fire.
Cover with mud so it can get done.
If I've helped you please make sure to set the thread as solved
- Build Mud Forge
- Insert Coal at Upper Inserter point (recommend building a charcoal furnace to make bulk charcoal)
- Insert Iron Ore/Empty Can into lower slot
- Make Mud Bricks at Mud Mixer
- 'Harvest' Mud Brick to create blank Mold
- Combine Blank Mold with (tool) and Melted Iron Ore (collected from bottom of forge) to create (tool) Mold
- Return to forge
- Add Charcoal (if needed)
- Insert (tool) Mold at bottom of Forge
- Retrieve [baked] (tool) Mold
- Harvest Mold to receive Metal Tool Part
- Build specific tool for the part you created as if you were making one from stone
Ta-da~ You now have a Metal (Tool)
the expensive way i solve this problem is to build a new one and it works for a few times.
deconstruct and reconstruct might fix, but it's quite annoying because some of the resource is lost while deconstruct, also time consuming.
this bug needs to be fixed
