Spear fishing bug

Used both spear and 4 prong spear to catch fish while standing in water at far south eastern oasis. after spearing fish I could not move and when i harvested fish I could do nothing, not even look up or down or turn left or right, I could do nothing

they should go immediately into your backpack if you have space otherwise just drop off if not. How are you harvesting them from the spear

Can you over fish a spot? I went back and tried it again with empty pack, I did not throw either spear but jabbed it at the fish and i caught one fish and it went into pack, i did it again and it stayed on my spear and I could not move until I hit TAB and it went into pack and I could move again, I think I over fished that lake, there was no big fish left and i waited a whole day standing in the water

The 2nd time you fished there was no room in the back[pack by the sounds of it. How big is the fish?
So this shows it works until backpack is full and the caught fish doesn't drop to the water.
You don't release the spear just jab ?

Try harvesting the fish in the backpack to move the meat to food section in the backpack then try spear fishing again.
lol yes you can over fish the area., I have watched the fish swim around get used to their routines.
In my demo I caught 3 with the bamboo and stone spear then maybe 24 hours later they respawn .
Why not use the fishing rod trap?
I never use the spear, its not bad but with so many things to do it was easier for me to just bait a couple of fish traps and prawn traps/ my favourite is the fishing rod trap.
Are you getting frame jumps in your game that could cause your lockup.
I'd save at the point you get that lock and go to your saves and copy it out and send to Creepy Jaw with details and screenshots if possible.. They really appreciate the saves to test and find fixes.
