How to end a survival run?
So yeah, bought the game, no interest in the story, jumped into survival, died, ran again, died, finally got my bearings on my third run and i'm now on day 40 something, my base is self sufficient, i've cleared a safe area around me, the rate of getting leeches is down to very rare, got metal tools and weapons, fish traps, gardens, capybaras breeding in an animal pen (god they eat a lot), honey and tobacco bandages aplenty, clay bidons and blah blah blah, basically i feel done, but i kinda wish there was a way to cap it off as a final hoorah before moving on to another game... any general milestones of this nature in the community consensus?

There isnt really and end to survival, it's basically over when you decide it is.

Yeah, i get that, i'm not asking for a definitive ending, just a milestone many in the community use to call their own survival runs complete.

For me it's just when I get bored of it basically.

Although you said you have no interest in the story. I consider games like green hell with a infinite survival mode "complete/finished" when I do all the achievements for it, which would include doing the story.

I suppose good general milestones would be maxing all skills, crafting every item in the game enough times so that it will be at 100% when crafted, eat every food in the game at spoiled, raw, cooked, boiled/souped, smoked, and dried so you can see what any food does stat wise by hovering over it to name a few.

Leave everything in your base, and start a fresh base in a different area from scratch.

I don't recall anyone mentioning such a thing. Perhaps you could come up w/ something?

Nah, if such a thing existed the community would've come up with it by now, which is fine, it's terribly common for survival craft games to just trail off instead of having a satisfying finale.

For endless survival there is no strict end point. My own goal on an endless run I'm having is merely to build a base in every location it makes sense to have one & in which specific construction style. A point in the game where theoretically it's still survival, but I could comfortably go from A to B and explore every millimeter of environmental design between that.
