harder game mode
i would like to have like 10x times harder mode than green hell mode for veteran players, i know that everything can be more realistic and harder than this, i see the potential in this game and i think its the best survival game by far among all of them.

I would love a much more difficult setting for Green Hell, it could seriously add thousands of hours of gameplay across the player base, so i really hope the development team takes it into consideration.

Examples:
- Decreased item spawn/growth rate, like rope, fruits, trees, etc to force players to look for stuff and find ways to be self sustainable.
- Less hunting animals in general, like peccary, tapir, armadillo. (There's way too much animals in most areas of the map, which sort of negates the purpose of the harder difficulties)
- Increased dangerous animals spawn like big cats, spiders, snakes.
- Lower trap catch rate (this would force players to move around the map and actually hunt instead of trap spamming)
- More "intelligent" creatures such as peccary, tapir or armadillo. As in they hear you and see you from a greater distance, adding some actual strategy when hunting, maybe make it easier to hunt when it's raining as they can't hear you that much because of the rain.
- Increased danger when sleeping in the middle of the jungle without a bed, like spider or snake bites waking the player up from sleep.
- Increased bad effects durations (Venom, fever, etc)
- Fever makes you lose sanity faster, and if you let it go untreated or without sleep then sanity would start draining really fast.
- Plants should not heal bad effects, instead they should speed up the healing process, forcing players to really pay attention to the environment to avoid being bitten or attacked.
- Rain should destroy any attempt at making mud bricks, making the player time his use of mud mixers according to the weather, or make mud bricks indoors when raining.
- No map. Yes, no map. Add a notebook to which players can write coordinates and descriptions.
- Too much rain exposure should be a bad effect in the game. Rain should cause the player to lose more energy when running or jumping. It also should reduce the amount of weight the player can carry, due to soaked clothes.
- I kinda wanna say being cold should be a factor too, but then again it's Brazil so.. Sort of makes no sense.
- Increase the danger when swimming and entering water. Make alligators creep up on the player more, forcing the player to REALLY pay attention to the water before going in.
- Make combat have an effect on the player. If you go around killing too many tribesmen, at some point it should start draining sanity, otherwise it's just a killing fest.
- Tribes should have more members, and be more aggressive in general. They should also try to sneak on you.
- Fires should draw attention more often, either from big cats or tribesmen. The player should feel forced to either be stealthy or look for high ground.

At this point, even on Green Hell difficulty, you really only need a couple of days to be pretty much set, at which point it sort of becomes redundant to keep playing because it feels like you've pretty much beaten the game in the first hour of gameplay.
The only way to make the game difficult right now is to go vegan.

Cheers.
And congratulations to the dev team for making a good fu*kin game.

EDIT: Added a few examples.

I agree with all of them, i think most important ones are;

- Growth rates are so unbalanced, finding food is too easy when it should be the biggest problem, in hardest mode, even worst player in the game is not going to die because of starving.

- The thing you say about sleeping middle of the jungle is very important imo, because it makes the early game so easy, we should be worried about making a shelter immediately before dark.

- I completly agree plants shouldnt heal bad affects immediately, im not gonna explain all of them but for example, drinking dirty water is bad, but if i have orange or blue mushroom i am drinking the dirty water and fixing it and there is 0 problem, shouldnt be like this i think.

My opinions except things that you said:

- During evening and night times, game should be a lot darker, so having a campfire or torch should have way more value, i am reducing the brightness too much when playing but i think they can find a better balance instead me reducing brigntess of the game :D

- Weather should affect the game more, imagine character cant sleep from shaking because cold during raining time, would be nice. When it is raining finding a dry leaf should be more harder so we will struggle starting a fire.

- We can start the game without clothes, so it also increases the value of having campfire,
and we can make basic clothes from animal skins versus cold and without shoes we can step into bad things so character moves slower and that means we should pay attention.

- We should play without location stuff on our watch, it forces everyone to pay too much attention to game and makes travels harder = finding food is more harder.

These are my opinions, i dont want them to make the game fu*king unplayable for new players, i just want them to add a new diffucilty setting if they want to call the game Green Hell.
