Are all game saving shelters equal?
I usually build the simple palm shelter when I want to save my game. But there are also more elaborate shelters, like the medium bamboo shelter, which also lets you save your game. Is there any functional advantage to building one of the more elaborate shelters? Like, does it help you rest better or something?

Hi,yes they are all equal for just sleeping and saving. As for comfort the bamboo and or wooden bed is the best less chance of getting any parasites.
Depends on how much wood you have .

Your survival note pad shows all building that have a save option.
I personaly prefer the small hurt shelter it allows saves at the top and can sleep in it. Sleep is on the side of it.
But when I want a camp fire to cook food on boil dirty water I just craft a roof saves at roof and leaf bed or small hut under it to sleep next to the fire.
Small camps are very handy as we travel around the map.
A roof, leaf bed, small fire , water collector. The one that uses 7 banana leaves.
Then next time i come around this area I have a ready made water supply fire and bed.
Craft lots of small bases :)
In coop we can see our friend sleeping in the small hut looks comfortable lol

Small huts are the most basic saving/sleeping locations. Nothing special.
The small shelter/small bamboo shelter only allow saving, but give a snapping point to add a bed for sleeping. They also provide an overhang to build a fire under, so you can have a fire in the rain.
I can't see anything special about the medium bamboo shelter.

Modular shelters are taller, allow you to attach walls and door frames, and provide some security against hostile tribals. A roof on a frame can be used to save the game, but you will need to add a bed of some sort for sleeping. You will also want to place any drying racks (to make food last longer) under a frame with a roof, as rain will prevent them from working.
