Not enough molineria leaf
Hello

So i have restarted the story today and i was playing for a few hours. During those hours i have not found a single molineria plant. I dropped to the ground and fell asleep for no reason. Woke up and removed the worms. Got infected. Got bit by a snake while trying to find a molineria plant and died of poison.

That was not fun. And obviously i forgot to save which is my own fault but this sucked.
Why could i not find a single molineria plant in about 4 hours of play time?
That was a huge waste of time.

Im going to have to restart now. Is there a way to skip the auayahuasca crap?

All I do it hunt for Molenaria. And once I accumulate a very nice collection of bandages, that wimp passes out not once but twice while hunting for food. And all of my bandages are gone and no Molenaria in sight. I hate Jake.

I harvest the flowers from the first one I find. Once the flowers dry in about a day you can put them in planting boxes and grow your own. Put one or two at the abandoned village and other major map locations. Then when you're in need of bandages you know where you can go to get some. Beats running randomly through the jungle in search of them.

Don't diss the ayahuasca. You get a full health and energy reset after your vision quest session. :)

Ill be restarting again today. I will keep your advice in mind. Thanks

I had not played this game for almost a year, i think. There a a couple of new things. I might have missed something here and there. Although im sure i would have seen yellow flowers.

Welcome to the Jungle!

🐾 Which kind of wound is it? Normal, poisoned, infected, rash - all of them need different treatment.
🐾 normal - add a molinera leave dressing, ash dressing, honey dressing, or goliath birdeater dressing.
🐾 poisoned - add a tabacco leave dressing, when you have one. But more important is, that you go to bed immediately and sleep until the fever is gone. Keep in mind, that you will need a lot of water after this and the wound will be infected.
🐾 The worst thing of an untreated wound is the infection. So keep in mind to have worms ready to clean it. You can spoil and harvest meat so you always have a sufficient supply of worms.
🐾 After the worms did their work, your wound is clean and you can add a dressing. If you don't have one, keep on searching for molinera plants. All that can happen is, that the wound becomes infected again. In that case put worms on it and let them do their work again until you have found molineria. The non-healing wound will weaken you, but you will not die from it. Eat and drink enough to stay alive.

Your energy reserve depletes faster when you're malnourished and/or feverish. The best time to go hunting is when you don't need to. And you'll need about 1/3 of a full energy bar to light a fire until you've done it a couple dozen times and built up your Fire Starting skill.

I am not sure if it still works but, for the fever you get from poison you can make bone broth and consume it to cure fever. I used to make them out of human bones since they didn't give a negative cannibalism effect like the meat does. Also noticed that no one has mentioned washing yourself before dressing the wounds, if you are not clean there is a chance you will get infected with something and it grows bigger the dirtier you are when you apply the dressing. Molineria should be plentiful you might of walked over them many times and not noticed since the undrebrush in this game sometimes gets double, triple, quadruple or sometimes 20 x layered on one another.
I had this happen with plants and tribesmen.

Thats all good and all.. i know how it works but there were no molineria plants i could find.
The next round i found 3 in the first 10 minutes so i guess there was a bug or something.

Anyway, thanks for the tips.

Having the exact same issue, I've spent 30 minutes looking for one and not a single one in sight, it's ridiculous considering they are so vital

Molineria are everywhere in the jungle areas where you see high levels of trees and shrubs.
It takes time to recognise them.
Molinarea is recognized by the yellow flower and broad leff.
Walk dont run.

Sleeping on the ground will give you worms usualy 4 a fish bone or bone needle is required to remove them before bandage. Always take note of end of day nearing so you can craft a leaf bed and fire. A roof as well cause it usualy rains when we start a small fire.

Yeah, it's simply not "everywhere" I don't know if my game is bugged or not but I have spent the past 2 hours searching meticulously for Molineria and found 1 plant.

Molineria - and most other plants - are in fact simply everywhere.
But beware, to know can potentially hurt your enjoyment: Plants have spawn points. You gather whatever is on that point and something will respawn, which does not have to be the same plant. So instead of walking around searching for molis, just gather whatever you find near your camp and come back tomorrow.
