Has anyone found what it combines with yet?

I have discovered its use.
scale+mud mould+metal=metal scales.
fangs (from jaguars+mud mould+ metal=metal fangs
feathers+mud mould+metal=metal feathers

What are these metal items for?
combine metal scales, metal fangs, metal feather, tree sap and a stick.

I don't know. Maybe it has something to do with the story mode for the new area.

This is the only use I've seen for it but it'd be cool to have some other uses not related to story. Maybe some poison resistant armor?

Can you explore the lower left side of the new map? I found a broken bridge at 42W40S. But it doesn't seem to be able to repair.
