Cage traps do not catch poison frogs?

Those frogs have a different destiny and I believe Creepy Jar intended for players to realize this and they must be caught. No easy way out sorry its by design. Once you play Story you will know their purpose.
If yo are playing survival and see these frogs they are now left overs from Story and still cant be trapped. But we can spear them now and kill them. Dont touch them ok.
If you do you need the white pills as they administer a strong poison.

Thanks for the reply. I kinda get their point on story mode, but we can't make poison darts without getting really sick. It's weird to put such mechanic behind a huge sacrifice to be made in survival mode if you choose to use poison darts.

Totally agree.
If you're planning on catching Peccary or others for pen, I have never used also poison is not needed just use a snare trap then when you take them down an option to tie them up then carry to pen.

Basic Info
The poison darts are ammunition to be used with bamboo blowpipe. They can be crafted by placing unfinished darts on to a poison dart frog using the frog stretcher. To use poison darts the player must equip the blowpipe, the darts will automatically be loaded and reloaded as the player uses the blowpipe.

You could try and prepare a few tobacco soups closeby. That stuff works wonders against poisoning. Once you have your dart frog sip those soups, each one should instantly delete three stacks of poison if I remember right.
