Cant remove armor

I cannot take off my armor. It shows im wearing it but i cant mouse over it and shows no durability, yet i cant equip other armor. I'm in MP and my friend can see it.

Open "inspect body", then open your backpack as well.
If you have room in your backpack for the armor, you'll get a prompt to unequip the armor.

only problem is, it acts like its invisible. One time it let me remove 3 pieces of armor but not the 4th. Turns out, the 4th one was totally destroyed but the armor still showed. I found that out when i put a piece of new armor over it and they had collision issues. After that, it would display my durability on my armor at least, but now, nothing.

Open backpack and inspect your arm or leg. Left click armor and drag onto backpack

Next to the little man there is an ar,or can hide armor disable that by show armor.

1. Open backpack
2. Inspect limb with armor that doesn't register as there
3. have new armor in backpack
4. right click new armor in backpack and select "swap" (make sure the limb with the
armor that doesn't register is being inspected)
5. your amor should be swapped

for anyone still having this problem. spent an hour trying different things and this was the only thing that worked. In this case, my right arm showed armadillo armor and I wanted to swap it with metal armor but i couldn't select the armor on my right arm and it didn't show the stats of the armor either, it was as if it were not there, but I couldn't replace the armor. the only thing that worked was doing the steps above. good luck!

They keep telling you to open backpack and inspect body....that's the little magnifying glass icon. It will open a window of your body w/your arms & legs spread out. Click on it and voi`la, you can remove the armor.
