If I drop an item on the ground, how long does it take for it to disappear?
As the title says, this is something I'm curious about.

And my other question is, please tell me more about jaguars.
They suddenly appear and it's such a surprise.
Is there anything I can do about it?
Whenever I encounter one, I always get injured. And when I try to kill them by attacking them, they run away, so I can't kill them.

I have one more question.
I've found snacks and cans scattered around campsites and other places, but do they respawn over time?

I have a lot of questions, but any information you can give me would be appreciated!

Items you've dropped never despawn as far as I know.
To counter jaguars, you need to make armor and a bow and arrows. I recommend either bone or armadillo armor. And the only viable way to kill 'em is with an arrow headshot. It's an insta-down.
The cans and snacks do not respawn.
Happy to help with any other inquiries.

Some dropped items, such as tools/weapons, lose health & eventually despawn if left lying on the ground. I couldn't tell you how long it takes, though that information might be out there.

To avoid this, craft a weapons rack or racks (I usually use two). You have to find a preexisting one in the game world to obtain the crafting recipe for it.

You have a wealth of knowledge and are very reliable.
Your help has been very helpful to me. I'll ask again if I have any questions. Thank you!

Oh, that reminds me, there was something I was wondering about when I was playing the game earlier.
It seems like my level went up when I used the bow.
Is there a way to see how many levels there are, and what other skills I can level up?

I'll make sure to keep my weapons in storage!

Yeah, so the game has around 14 skills you can level up. You can view them in your notebook in the lightbulb tab. Each time you perform an act that is related to one of the skills, it levels up a bit. If you use your bow it'll level up, if you craft a bunch of stuff your crafting will level up, etc etc

I see you can check it from here. I didn't realize that. Thank you!

I find throwing a spear at a Jaguars head is easier and more accurate than arrows and kills them instantly.

I used to go spears but then moved on to bows because its lighter(than holding multi) and you get more chances.

I carry only one spear as well as bow and arrows. I throw the spear first. I don't often miss, but if it misses I then use arrows.

I'm guessing I'm the only one who started out throwing their axe. :winter2019joyfultearsyul: Now I stick to the bow, except for knocking down coconuts. ^^

Is there a way to know if a jaguar is nearby?
I always get attacked by one lol

You can hear the sound of them growling if they are nearby.

Thank you, I'll keep an eye on it and listen!

I ran into a problem while making my base.
I noticed that I couldn't build storage boxes, racks, etc. on any slopes.
It's unfortunate, but I've decided to move to another location.
I'm looking for a large plot of land that's as flat as possible. Do you know of any good locations?
The one place I found was a cannabis farm, but I'd like to know if there are any bigger locations!

The drug facility is pretty good, another good and safe location would be the shack at 51W 19S. its not the flattest, but it has many many pros. I've made a guide if you want to have a look
