low visibility while diving (potential story spoiler)

so I found the diving gear but it's hard to find your way around the underwater caves with how blurry and dark everything is. I've seen diving masks at the airstrip but couldn't pick them up. was I meant to be able to? I constantly get lost while diving

it's just very marginal the diving part in this game, you can't do much in general into the water so your only concern is about dangerous stingray and exploration. Try to adjust brigtness maybe? I didn't touch anything and was visible but yea only visible.

the issue is: I sometimes lose that too because I can't see it well :D

By chance, do you have a window in the wall behind you and you play by day? Anyway, the undrewater tunnels are obviously dark, you actually see more than you realistically should, but the cable shows you the way when the tunnel bends. And it's not a maze anyway, Just go straight most of the time. Getting lost is really hard down there.
