If you have no bandages I'm afraid you are doomed. If you have them you may try to practice your clicking speed to apply the bandage before dying. Saving the game when on the brink of death is usually a bad idea, but I'm sure it wasn't intentional.

Well if you are not playing on green hell difficulty, what's the problem with dying? If you have lacerations then I think only an ash bandage or ants will save you from losing hp. A plain bandage just slows it iirc.

Next time always wear armor with a rating over 20% and you wont get turned into catfood. :cozybethesda:

I'm kind of new to this game but from what I've seen dying forces you to go back to the last time you saved, on any difficulty. And if the last time the OP saved was with 1hp and bleeding..

Hey, I have a crazy idea! Convert the game to multiplayer, so when you die your equipment falls to the ground and you respawn where you last slept or something like that. Then you can set it to "invite only" and just continue playing like singleplayer.
Or you could change the difficulty settings, but I'm not sure if you can do it mid-game and if you can remove bleeding.

No we cant change our game to coop unless you join another coop this could convert your solo save to coop and use the host's save game.. But your solo game will always be coop then.
After dying you can choose to either load the last saved game or quit and exit to the main menu.

Is this solo play since you say you have only one save active.
There is no auto save so you must have saved manually at the roof to be in this position of nearly dead.
How long do you have before you bleed out and die?
try and find a molinaria plant to craft a basic leaf bandage add ash to it or honey but that may not be enough usually wounds from a Puma are lacerations and will require something for infection like a plantation lilly green and white leafy plant with a bandage
Please read about lacreations

Saving over the same game is not a good idea for this reason.
Have you used any other save slots not too far back you could load into?
Instead of selecting continue use load game.

My dear, this time I have to correct you. When you launch the game you can choose single/multiplayer, and then you can choose to continue last save or load a game. If you choose singleplayer and then "load game" the four slots will appear. When one is highlighted without selecting it, you have the option to delete it or convert to multiplayer. If you convert to multiplayer it will disappear from the singleplayer list and be transferred to the multiplayer one. Then you go back, select "multiplayer", select "host game" and then "load game", you'll find your formerly singleplayer game. If you load it you'll be in your usual game, but now you can set it to public to have random strangers join you or invite friends over.
Note that when you die in multiplayer (even if you're alone) the game doesn't end, your stuff falls to the ground and you respawn. Which is cool , you may say you're given a penalty for getting killed instead of reloading. Playing a multiplayer game alone could be a slighty harder challenge than the classic singleplayer.
As before, since permadeath doesn't exist in multiplayer, I don't know if you can do it with "green hell" mode games.
