Palisade walls are terrible!!!
I would think if you specifically came up with a content update "Flamekeeper" to take advantage of the new fortifications, that you would at least make them work properly. There are utterly terrible to place, repair, seal off a base, and deal with. Problems include:

1) Placing them is a nightmare. Trying to get them to even snap to anything and light up white is next to impossible. And to break down a misplaced wall takes FOREVER since you have to do it ONE BY ONE! And don't even get me started about knocking down ones that are already in place! Took me 10 axes and an hour to knock down a wall.

2) If natives break down even 1 palisade wall, trying to stick a replacement in there isn't even possible. You need to break down a couple next to the missing one in either direction and then it still doesn't line up right.

3) You can't seal them against rock walls or rocky ground. So a base I had that contained a cliff had rocky ground the last couple feet. You cannot put a palisade wall anywhere near that so you have a huge gap that the natives just run through. You can not also put them tight up against trees or any other rock wall. What's the point of fortifications if you always have GAPS!?

4) Natives ignore walls half the time. If you have something somewhat near a wall, the natives can swing through the wall and break the stuff down or even HIT YOU! Coupled with this, their clipping or when they're hitting the wall puts them practically IN the wall so from the lookout stands you can't even hit them, you just hit the top of the palisade!!

Please make some changes on how you implement fortifications SOON!
