Is a Platform Roof waterproof?

I just built a wooden platform roof on a frame. I now want to place a drying rack for meat under it. However the animation for rain is visible on the ground inside the frame. So I wonder is that roof waterproof at all, or should I have build a leave roof?

Yes, you do have the rain animation with all different roofs. But you can dry stuff, it is waterproof.

Ya, there is a Unity issue where rain will go through roofs, I have seen it on several games that are Unity based.

Creepy Jar describes it as just cosmetics and wont effect anything inside the building.

The same happens with items that are placed under a roof, indoors, such a Storage Box. It'll look like the rain is dripping on it, while there can be more than one roof above it. Totally weird!
