Pop in textures / Draw Distance / LOD?
I'm getting some wicked pop-in textures while playing. Pretty sure it has something to do with draw distance, as I can see the circle around my character where textures and shadows are meant to be drawn. Is there any way to increase the draw distance?

I'm surprised a sort of LOD/draw distance blur hasn't been implemented to deal with this. Or the draw distance blur hasn't been widened or blended further with the closer sharp area? Unless it's just something to do with my config, be it in-game or driver settings and I'm just talking out of my sphincter lol. I do have draw distance and shadow distance set to max in-game, and forced 16x ansiotropic filtering via Nvidia Control Panel, but the pop-in distance being close enough that you can see the draw circle really hampers the immersion imo.

Specs:
i7-4790
GTX 1080 FTW 8GB GDDR5X
2x8GB DDR3-1600
Game is running from a Samsung 980 Pro 1TB NVME drive separate from my OS drive, though transfer speed is limited to ~850MB/s due to my motherboard specs.

I came to the discussions for this same issue. Never beat the game and deiced it was time to do a fresh play through and noticed the same issue. Wish there was some type of solution to this because it does break the immersion and is why there's so many threads about this across various site.

Some items like the banana tree makes it tough to understand why it's so short. Could be due to the engine and the performance issues with making the game. But to completely ignore this issue and make updates for combat and adding new animals doesn't seem like the right answer when this issue could easily be fixed.

I haven't played much at all yet (though I do want to!), but it does seem to be a bit of a heavy game in terms of resource usage. Understandably so, as there's a lot going on in a jungle scenario and the textures and graphics in general are fantastic imo. Curious what your specs are - and if there are any similarities to mine.

I have seen many videos with the pop-in textures present, but a few without also. Maybe an update caused it, or others have more recent motherboards and CPUs, increasing the bandwith for graphics processing.

Lower FOV to around 70 or 75. .
This may help .
Discussion here if it helps.
