Stealth
Why does the description of the latest update talk about hide and seek? Has stealth appeared in the game?

I don't know if "stealth" is the correct expression, but you could always sneak. Obviously they have improved this mechanic and intend to advance it even more.

When near a tribal village with nasties we would approach very carefully. If thats stealth so be it. But what Creepy Jar referred to>
If you like to play hide and seek with enemies - it won’t be so easy now, as tribesmen will be able to enter low structures built by the player. So watch out - they may get to you while you are on platforms floating on water or the ones built on the ground. We are very curious about what you think about this change

It's still unclear. If it is said that playing hide and seek with enemies is not so easy now, then there is stealth, and you can hide from enemies, otherwise it is a misleading formulation.

watch the trailer for latest update. You see the guy on the platform behind the fence, now you see him, now you dont, hide and seek???

At least thats what I got from it plus the change to hiding in caves, floating platforms or 1 floor up from ground based structures....

Jaunitta literally reposted what was in the notes and it is very clear, npcs will be able to walk on structures on ground level even if its on water so you wont be able to exploit hiding from them there anymore....i understood that clearly and i have yet to play the game as i am downloading it now

It is completely unclear if there is stealth in the game, i.e. can I sneak past enemies (at least people) or sneak up on an enemy from behind and hit him, and can I run and hide from enemies attacking me?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thanks for the clear answer! Now I understand that there is no stealth in the game and of course there is no hide and seek. The description of the latest update is misinformation. It's very sad, I abandoned the game due to the lack of at least the simplest stealth, and after this encouraging description, I was very happy and installed the game again, deciding that the developers had improved the AI of the enemies and added stealth mechanics, but it turns out that this is just an incorrect formulation. For this formulation, I give Green Hell the Disappointment of the Year award. I hope stealth will appear in this game someday, but for now, it's uninstalling again.(

It turns out that you can add simple stealth to the game by changing the settings of this mod:

It's far from ideal, but it's still better than useless sneaking in a vanilla game.
