How is the co-op? How does it work?

Hey there. A buddy and me like playing co-op survival games and this peaked our interest, but I was honestly unaware this game even had co-op. How is it? Is it similar to The Forest, or something else?

I played this game co-op a couple years ago with 2 friends. One of my friends hosted the game while my other friend and I joined as guests. Unfortunately, there was a bug that prevented us from continuing to play the game. If the host crashed or lost Internet connection, all of the items and progress of the guests are lost. I just posted a question about this asking if it was fixed. If it's still an issue, I wouldn't recommend playing this game co-op because it's such a disappointment when you grind for hours/days, and then lose everything. The interesting thing is that the host loses nothing. It's just the guests who basically start as a fresh character, and then it's unplayable because the host character is way far ahead in progression and the guests are noobs again. It was so disappointing. Players have been complaining about this issues for years

There never has been, it's peer-to-peer. That's why it needs a host.

Multiplayer is great. Plays a bit different sleeping, nutrient management etc.

Word of advice, always climb to ground out of tree house before saving and exiting game. Sometimes when you load in you fall from tree house.

Mulit-player is only dead if you have no friends to play with. Its peer to peer and never has had servers. I have always seen more players in the list however usually just play with friends list.

Co op is similar to the forest. Well its like the forest but your not a badass survivalist like in the forest. He cant remember to even bring a lighter. Cries to his wife about his boos boos every second. Can commit sui=cide after less than 24 hrs in the jungle. LOVES TO SLEEP and EATS A TON even if hes just standing there doing nothing. He needs a balanced diet. Dont get me wrong though once you know how to play its a ton of fun co op.
