Convert to mud roof without destroying structure?

So you typically start by creating structures with palm or banana leaf roofs since mud is a lot more difficult to get and create. Now that you have these structures, how do you convert them to mud roofs without having to rebuild the entire thing? The walls make you create the structure first and then you mud over them. Why are roofs not the same?

Open your notepad click on the mud top right, select the frames roof build it then place with mud roof BP frame. add mud to it.
If you have built a leaf roof hop onto the roof hit one corner you can hear when you hit it right this removes the roof only, sorry you have to rebuild the roof frame first it can be either bamboo or woooden we can mix them.

I would like to be able to just add mud to an existing structure without having to demolish it first too, but as it stands you cant. It would be a big improvement if we could (especially as resources are finite now).

You can now with yesterdays update. Just jump on the roof and run on it. It should cave in giving you most the leaves back and opening up for you to put mud.
