If so yes it already in the game. You can customise each difficulty level.
But what I had in mind is with dev menu you can adjust your world how you please? For example I downloaded ModAPI and I was able to "sprawn" anything in the game. I chopped down a tree? I give myself 2 logs more and with that I had 4 logs from 1 tree. I always thought that you should get like 4 planks from 1 log (or at least 2) so I was able to "spawn" some additional planks. It was like adjusting things how you want. Some things in this game give not enough resources or crafting cost is too high (short wall which is half of normal wall but cost you 6 long sticks, not 4. Things like that.
And I could always use that to "plant" new trees because with GH mechanic I had to walk like 5 min for 3 logs which was super time consuming and not rewarding at all. I don't wanna waste time walking for wood, I wanna have fun and build cool stuff. With that I could do that anytime I wanted.
