How to use elevator with large treehouse?

Went about building a large treehouse but can't for the life of me figure out how to attach an elevator.

The elevator itself doesn't appear to want to attach to any of the large treehouse frames, even if that frame is empty, and I can't build a balcony either. Is this because I'm trying to attach it to the treehouse floor? Do I need to add a frame level to that treehouse base and attach my balcony + elevator to that level?

Build a balcony to mount it on or put it on a frame but don't put the floor in below that frame. balcony is better than hole in floor.

You will need at least 1 frame in the treehouse. The supports for it sit on top of the frame /balcony but the bit that goes up and down sits inside the frame / below the balcony.

Hi! As @carl.wear suggested, please make sure that the construction frames in your treehouse don't have a floor. You may also attach a balcony to the placed frame and try to use elevator that way. If you have any further difficulties, please contact our support at: [e-mail] !

I was trying to place the elevator directly on the floor frame, that seems to be the issue, will add a frame layer + balcony and give it a go, thanks all!
