Tree respawn?

Hi everyone, still quite new to game and was wondering does the tree respawn? And if yes how long does it take to respawn? I didn't chop of the stump as the game indicate it will grow back but never see any trees grow back so far.

Kind of "the kettle you watch never boils". They actually regrow rather quickly, a matter of days. They start as saplings (1 long stick, I think) then they grow to 2 long sticks, and then they grow back to full size (2 logs, 2 long sticks). Those covered in ivy grow back covered in ivy for more ropes. Palm trees DON'T regrow but they're good to get 4 logs quickly. Only cut thorny trees if you have armor on the right arm, but if you do feel free to chop away the log.
