Palm tree stubs, do they regrow?

I've been waiting for days, maybe even a couple of weeks in-game, I've tried googling for an answer but it seem nobody's got anything definitive.

Is there anybody who can tell me definitively whether or not palm tree stubs regrow?
If they don't I'd like to use the area and avoid cutting down too many more.

Nope! Those tall trees that drop Green Coconuts do NOT respawn. I had to learn it the hard way too and restart my savegame because I don't like permanently altering my game (and losing a bunch of coconut sources!!)

Got my sources of fat elsewhere in plenty, so don't need coconuts, but I like the look of the trees.

They have always regrown in my game, not sure if the difficulty plays a part or not, I play on the easiest one.

Did you start your current game before or after the recent updates?
If it's a bug like that there is no way in rancid he** I'm starting a new game just for nuts.

Ps. You sure you're talking about the palm trees? Not just any other generic?
Regular trees regrow for me too...like weeds.

Now that I think of it, it was before the update, I've only played for a short time since the update. Not long enough to give them time to see if they grow back.

Palm nut trees are not the same as the coconut trees guys.
The palm nut tree or know as Rafia Palm are more like low bush type and provide 2 palm nuts high in fats as we approach them.

The one time I tested coconut palm regrowth, the stump disappeared w/ no new tree taking its place. This was prior to the recent update.

Those should regrow as far as I've ever noticed. I havent played long enough since the update to verify for sure, but I do know for a fact they did grow back before the update.

I am certain I made a post like this a few months back and one of the devs answered that Coconut Palms are not meant to regrow whether their stump is spared or not.

Thanks, that also makes sense as the real life version doesn't regrow either as far as I know, and the devs try to stay close-ish to realism.
