Tree Platform Frame useless?

So i build a Tree House Frame and wanted to expand it by placing a Tree Platform Frame next to it. Connected a bridge, but i can´t build anything on the Tree Platform Frame. Not even the smallest thing.
Is this a bug, or what are they used for?

Once the platform is built then you need to actually add floors to build anything on it. but as far as I could tell you cant attach another tree house frame.

When you have added the upper floors you can build balconies on to them to extend the floor space up there. You cannot put balconies on to the floor frame below. All you can use that for is for the rope climb and the walkways as you cannot put them onto the upper floors. I have built beds on the extended floor and put a mud fire place on the central part round the tree trunk. You can put a fire, stick holder or chest on the platform frame but do not do this until you have built the floor above or it will make those frames show as red and not fit in places. Also pays to complete one frame before adding another. They auto connect a lot better then. I have a screenshot on the community page of my Tree House titled Forest Falls Penthouse.

I didnt have to build the second floor floors before placing things, I also put the mud fireplace on the center part, and I have several chests right now. And after an issue I had, I actually suggest building the second floors after you build on the balconies, I had an issue where I couldnt place the long stick that butted up to the wall while the floor was there as shown in the screen shot.

That's not a treehouse, that is just the tree platform. If you look at the post by Jaunitta, you can see there are 2 different tree platforms. You can build some things on the one you have, but not much. I have a water collector on mine. You need to find the really big trees, the ones that have the Banisteriopsis vine, used to make the Ayahuasca in story mode, they are also the trees that you will find brazil nuts at the base.

I think they're mostly intended to serve as "way points" when using the hanging foot bridges to connect point A to point B, particularly if the two points are some distance from each other.

I am still having issues building my second floor in my tree house. Blueprint shows up red even though nothing is in the way. Now I read here up above from Cybagran that the tree house should be completed before adding things like chests and other items. I only have three chests on first floor. So I would have to start over or destroy the chests. I can try that. Thanks.

But then starlight78sso mentions they did not have to build second floor before adding things.

I started this last save this February 2023. Can anyone help? Or should I wait for a patch or fix. I don't want any mods. Thanks

I'm finding that the "tree platform frame", which can be built on the smaller trees with vines, does not allow building any kind of frame or extension even after filling it in with the 4 logs to build the platform itself. You can build the rope climb and bridge against their edges though. As for Bonhomme7h, the larger "tree house frame" which can only be built on the larger trees with the blue mushrooms and walnuts, is fully functional but can't always be built where you want them. I look to use these for transporting mud bricks across otherwise climbing (grappling) boundaries. The tree house frame will require regular "frame" structures to be built on top of finished platforms before you can expand outward with any form of "Balcony" and I read in the patch notes on one of the versions that frames will not stack higher than 3.
