Does survival mode have the Spirits of Amazonia content?
I haven’t played this in ages, and want to hop in and just focus on survival. Other than the obvious story parts, does survival mode have the content (maps, craftables, items, etc) that are in the Spirits mode?

Only once you have played Story SOA 1,2,3. Then continue on as survival using the finished Story maps. The unique gifts and weapons will not appear.
But pretty much everything else does.
Some things were introduced with updates and patches for the Story including SOA will appear in our Notepad and more added once dicovered.

If it was part of an update. Check the Road map history for what you will get.
I've played the entire GH finished and now have returned to my old original save before Story and SOA and all of the BP from all of the GH episodes appeared in my note pad .
The pets things, the tree houses BP. Over 70 of them.
Not all the maps will appear since in SOA3 we lose the Story maps and only keep 3 maps.
So you'll need to do a lot of exploring and searching for the maps included up tp SOA 2.
All the maps are availabe on GH Wiki anyway.

Thanks for the reply! Just so I’m sure I understand, discovering craftables in SoA adds the recipes to your journal in Survival mode then? Or do you have the craftables already in your journal in Survival mode, and you’re only missing out on unique weapons/items and maps from SoA?

Crafting recipes don't "carry over" from one save to another. You don't always have to have a recipe in your notebook to be able to craft an item, though; that restriction, afaik, only applies to items that require you to place a blueprint. So for example, you might be able to craft the weapon from the quest in SoA part 2 in survival just by knowing the recipe.

What I think Jaunitta is suggesting is that you could complete SoA, then just keep playing on that save.

yes.
The screeny I posted is where I started up my old MP save before SOA , as you can see the BP I found are activating with an olld save cause even before I had already played SOA. they are uncluded in patches but I had played Story.
A new survival game and never having played Story or SOA1.2.3 will not.

Most craftables will simply appear in the notepad as soon as you start walking around pick up a stick, stone gather some mud from the waters edge chop down a tree,
place a small stick with a stick on your crafting table craft a basic firestater. But for the tribal firestarter you need to know the recipie so we can experiemnet with the ingredients on th crafting table.
The actual BP some cannot be crafted until the BP are found.

Most BP are found in abandone villages. Such as the campfire, weapons rack water collector waterfilter. Dryer smoker wooden or bamboo bed But the basic inbuilt BP are given. Leaf bed etc. once you pick up a green coconut dehusk it and place onto the crafting table with a liana rope crafts to bidon.
Lots to learn and if your decision is to play survival straight up its not that different from playing Story and or the SOA DLC you just need to explore every part of the map that is available for survival. Many maps are not as they relate to quests in Story and SOA and the map is required to find and complete that quest.
I do recomend you start playing with Story mode first once its completed you can then start a new survival game with those maps and the BP you have found already.
