Can't make Hand Drill

I just got the game, and it seemed interesting for a crafting/survival one. But I don't know if my game is bugged, but I was playing the tutorial, but I couldn't make the hand drill. I made the campfire pile with the notebook, but I can't make the hand drill. I tried the crafting menu, and all I get is a rock with a cloth over it. No options to build any hand drill.
I tried to check my inventory, but there are no sticks showing in my bag at all.

I left the tutorial and tried to play a single player game to test it out, but it all comes to a halt when I need to build the hand drill again. No sticks displayed in my bag, and no option to make the hand drill.

Is this game bugged out or am I missing something?

Hand drill is the lightest of the fire starters. Honestly it makes no difference the durability of them all because you can easily pick up sticks anywhere.
