Why my animals always die?

I would exclude the poop.
Wrong food? I thought they can eat everything I can put in the manger.

It's possible that cloths on the Anaconda island hide some poop?

If you can still hear flies buzzing inside the pen, you've missed some poop. It can be difficult to locate sometimes; I've had some I had to crouch to get a hitbox on.

As for what they can eat, IIRC, the game shows you that when you mouse over their food trough. I've been successful feeding mine palm leaves, bananas, nuts, the long green fruit (monstera deliciosa), & those small round orange fruits; there may be other acceptable foods, as well.

I moved the fence a bit but I have the same problem. I check frequently but after some time my tapirs get sick and they never heal.
These damned animals are too weak and too hungry... is there any difference between species?

I had the same problem with tapirs and boars. They reach 50% trust, then get poisoned and die. No poop, only healthy food. Nice tip with the palm leaves btw, finally some use for those sticky never decaying leaves.

No problem with the capy's, no matter what I feed them. They can even eat those roots that would give you a nice food poisoning. Already had three cubs, all in different locations.

Edit: Got my first mini pig. Took way longer than capy breeding.

That's the camp with a car and the map for this region.
Well, perfect for tapirs, because my piggies died for reasons unknown.
I only gave them leaf piles and intensive care. Poop removal every 8 hours. xD
Watch out for the jaguar, damn cat spawns every 48 hours.

I also tried with the capybara but they die in the same way... I'm desperate.
Dev help would be appreciated...

I think it has something to do with the surface/ground. Objects falling through all the time, palm leaves sink down and so on. Might take a while for the devs to fix that.
Good news. I finally got a mini pig at that spot, but my second tapir cub disappeared for no reason. Maybe got eaten by the boars or the jaguar.
I think you should give it another shot while you wait for a fix.

i also have this problem its the dirty water i think. i remade the water trough and the water was still dirty they were perfectly until i added the water throgh
