Find some coconuts and drink them then crack them into coconut half bowls.
Make a fire and place these half cocoanut bowls onto the cooking spots empty.
Open your backpack where your bidon /s are , stand next to stream water, as soon as you pickup the Bidon in your backpack , hold near water a water droplet appears on the stream surface drop the Bidon onto that and it will fill with dirty water and automatically places it back into the backpack.
At your fire where you placed 2 half coconuts again open your backpack and grab and drag a Bidon with dirty water hold it near the empty cocoanut on fire cooking spot >a water droplett to transfer to empty cocoanut halves appears >transfers dirty water in Bidon to half cocoanut. Will cook to clean water.
E to drink it or hold empty Bidon from backpack near boiled clean water in cocoanut half to use the dropet to transfer clean water from cocoanut back to Bidon.
In time you will know this so well.
Just wanted add
Killing a turtle you can harvest it and use the turtle shell as a larger bowl.
You can add meat or a bone to the clean water cocoanut halves on the fire and make broths and medicines using the same proceedure.
There is a lot more food methods like drying food smoking food but one step at a time.
Have fun :) and save often at the roof so you wont lose your progress.
And, i must say, i was so close to do it on my own, also standing inside the water, even dropped the Bidon accidently into it, but wasnt noticing that it has filled up. A bit better understandable/noticable info from the Game would be sweet.
I struggled to find some Coconuts too when i needed them.
It is really strangly done how a Object changes its condition if you just carry it, put in a your backpack, collect, or enhance it.
Kinda new Rogue-like-survival Genre....^^
