why can't I build a mud wall?

As the screenshot show, I can't place down a mud wall blueprint
I don't think it's because the ladder I placed there, I also tested without the ladder and it still unavailable for me to build.

Is that a ladder in front? Try demolishing the ladder then place mud brick blue print of a wall over the lattice then place mud bricks

no definitely not. I also tested that without the ladder and it is still red

It shows requires a wall frame. I hope it s not bugged for you but see if a mud wall with a window has a green BP. Sometimes the full wall was a problem so I went with windowed wall it worked.
My problem when I experienced this was the mud floor posts at the floor were messsing with the 2nd floor walls. I was never able to solve so places a doorway there instead.
I also reported it to Creepy Jar that some of the posts at ground level were incorrectly sticking up through the floor .

Probably a bug. I had the same problem. The only thing it would let me build was mud half walls

Malwarebytes seems to block that page because of Trojan virus, is there other place to get that or other mods?

You need to build a wooden scaffold wall first to hold all that mud in place. so build a "wooden wall" or "bamboo wall" and then overlay that with mud wall of whatever type you want.. It would be nice if the developers gave an ingame hint about that to new players.

they said they will fix it next update. I jokingly call this game red hell just because of this problem, I just had the same happen to me after returning to this game, only to be reminded why I stopped playing. There's no collision it just refuses to turn white for some reason. Devs will figure it out.

try destroying the stick walls that won't accept the mud wall and rebuild them. I just did and now the mud wall will place where they wouldn't place before.
