Where is the bamboo???

I've been running around the map in every direction for about 30 minutes and I can't find a single bamboo tree? If there's only bamboo in one little section of the map that seems pretty lame because you would have to build in that spot always.

Which map are you on?
If on 1 in story you have to take hyawascha at least once.

You can grow bamboo too.

There is bamboo near the drug lab and across the river from boat dock. Both places are north from where you start the story.

Bamboo stick in planter..but to be honest I have not done it so excuse me if I am wrong.

No, you're correct; a small bamboo stick, in a large planting box. I always plant some at my full on bases.

You will get 5 long bamboo sticks in the large planter.
See the bamboo growing in garden plot next to sour sop, simply craft a small stick approach teh planter box select E to plant water it

in all maps there is plenty of bamboo just need to be aware where you are exploring check your smart watch for gpu.

I think he didnt do first Ritual Bowl yet and you need to do that before you reach any bamboo areas.

I'm only playing survival mode. I don't know where the ritual bowl is or what it is. I know it's the drug, but I don't know where to find it.

Still can't find a bamboo tree anywhere. I'm looking for the trees. I'm not trying to plant bamboo. I need to find a tree to plant it anyway. Can't find the tree's anywhere. Been running around the map for 45 minutes, not a single one. Yes I know there's bamboo near the drug camp, but is that really the only place on the entire map??????????

If playing survival then you wont see ritual bowls.

You should find bamboo pretty much everywhere.

Where is your base at ..maybe from there you can be pointed to the closest patch.

Oh wow, thanks. No wonder I couldn't find any. My base was 47/21 , right near the edge of the cliff in the cleared out section. I see now I was pretty much in a bamboo deadzone heh.

I would run in one direction pretty far, find nothing, go back. Run in another direction, find nothing, go back. I was thinking, wherever the hell the bamboo is, it's far enough away from my base that I should probably just re-build my entire base because I need bamboo. Even when you grow it i'm pretty sure you have to find it first, and it's not like I'm going to lug bamboo logs across half the map every time.

Also, anyone notice the longetudinal coordinates don't match up on the other maps even though the landmarks and geography perfectly aligns? Is that an oversight issue from development, or what? I haven't found those other maps yet in the story mode.

" anyone notice the longitudinal coordinates don't match up on the other maps." its definately an oversight, I reported it ages ago and I doubt it will ever get fixed. But for us who played it a long time just come back and ask we'll help you :)

Definitely, they do not match. I keep getting lost or, running around in circles looking for stuff. For instance. The location of where the to large Quonset tents are, are close together in Survival but on the map, they're located in two different places and coords on the map. I have a base built on the coords of the hospital tent @ 28w 33s and there's nothing like on the map. I'm right next the fresh water stream. No camp there. Both big tents are over by the big lake or, w/e, in the SE region of the map, next to each other. The only way I can find the exact location of climbing areas is, by looking for the red vines. I've already found lots of locations before getting the maps I have though.

As for the bamboo, it'a everywhere in my game. Just not where and when I need it the most. lol
